I cant remember how many years I have been helping out

the High School with their Year 12 presentations

but I would say about 9 years.....

This is what they had this year...

Memory Lane: Allison Everliegh's Wedding 1994 - Gunnedah Golf Club

This wedding is from 1994 I think.

I remember Allison being very sure of what she wanted her wedding to look like

but at the same time very frugal with her budget.

We saved where we could and added more where needed.

Allison had the 5 metre backdrop, a ceiling canopy, chair covers with gold ties for the bridal table, a simply decorated bridal table, decorated cake table, balloon centrepieces and decor.

The Dorothea McKeller Awards 

is a Nation Wide Poetry Awards Competition.

Ive been decorating these awards since 2004, the first year I took over the Business.

Each year we try something different

but this year we really went over the top...

Literally!

Reception Entrance:

In line with this years theme:
Where Ever the Wind Blows

and in conjunction with the guest speaker who is a Quantas Pilot

we decided to have Cloud Balloons on the Stage

This is a cluster of around 50 - 60 balloons ranging in size from

90cm to 20cm.

These have been filled with helium so they float above the stage area.

This photo doesnt give any indication of the size of these balloons,

but they are around 4 metres across.

Here is a photo of the full stage.

That is a grand piano in the centre of the stage,

so that is some indication of the size.

Organisers said the balloons were a total hit with the guests and award winners.

Australia Day Awards - 2013 Gunnedah PCYC

The Australia Day Awards come around so fast!

We have a good system now for balloons,

and generally it goes unchanged.

We use air columns at the front of the stage

as the helium balloons look very messy once the air conditioners come on.

The insider balloons at the top

always get people talking with the most popular question:

"How do you get the balloons inside?"

Then we put 15 bunches around the room to enclose the guests somewhat.

 

After an 11.00pm pickup from the PCYC

the columns get taken down to the rotunda at the Park for the 

Australia Day Events....

Gunnedah South School Presentation Day

Its so wonderful to be involved with the 

Gunnedah South School

We have done quite a bit together this year...

We've done the Kindy Balloons

Garden Opening Balloons

Gunnedah South Ball

School Fete

Special Presentation Balloons

Kindy Presentation Balloons

and now the End of Year Presentation!

My kids both attended Gunnedah South School

and its wonderful to keep going back and still being involved.

It is also great for my Staff being Gunnedah South Students themselves,

to go back and do these fun jobs!

The teachers can see first hand what awesome kids they have helped shape!

We only have awesome Staff at Enchanted Events & Balloons! (hehe)

We did a few things for this mornings presentation:

We decorated the awards table right up the back with clothes, skirts, red draping and silver runners.

We did the 6 Simple Balloon Columns.

We also did this amaising Welcome Arch

with the year at the center.

 Everyone was in agreement that the event looked amaising!

This is a real "feel good" event for the kids and parents.

Lots of achievement awards, sporting awards and awards that bought a tear to the eye!

There was an amaising speaker that has achieved great things in his life and was a past student of the School!

Australia Day Awards - 2012

I went looking for these photos today on my blog to show a customer

and realized I hadn't loaded them yet!!

Only 10 months later!

These are our Australia Day Awards here in Gunnedah!
We have a huge role up every year!

There are lots of wonderful community minded people here in Gunnedah!

For these awards, we do these awseome columns for the stage

They are topped with insider balloons.

The flag was replacing the old tattered flag ontop of Porky Lookout..

But in the mean time, didn't it look brilliant as a backdrop!

We also did bunches of 8 helium balloons around the room!
It looks very Australian!

A Champagne Wedding - Gunnedah Band Hall

I always feel so honored 

to be chosen to help Brides celebrate 

one of the most important and remembered days of their lives.

We didn't have as much "planning" time

that Brides usually give us with Sonya's Wedding.

She came into the shop about 6 weeks ago extremely anxious.

She had this wedding and really didn't know where to start!

Well, sit back and lets get this Wedding Planned!

After a number of hours discussing the Bride & Grooms Wedding Dreams,

and looking through albums.

Sonya & Andrew left feeling very much relieved and in control of their event!

It was such a privilege to work with this couple 

and their adorable son.

Here is Sonya

and she looked like a movie star!

So very stunning for her special day!

Enchanted Events & Balloons supplied Sonya gorgeous Jewellery

and the custom made bouquets.

They were "real Touch" soft pink roses and babies breath.

She just wanted simple and elegant..

The button holes are by us as well.

Sonya & Andrew chose the 

Gunnedah Band Hall

as their venue for their wedding.

They had both the Ceremony & Reception inside.

The backdrop  also features a lovely Balloon Heart!

This has bright white Battery LED lighting throughout and will look spectacular tonight!

The Bridal Table Skirt and Cake Table Skirt were supplied by the Venue

Or backdrops are all free standing with very heavy bases making them very safe at your venue.

The ceremony was indoors for this wedding.

Enchanted Events & Balloons supplied the arch and decorated it with fresh willow.

We also supplied the lily & Rose Urn and Pillars

6 Silk Ficus trees and draping.

And don't you just LOVE the Bride & Groom "Airwalkers"

These guys are foil balloons filled with Helium and then weighted with lead to the bottom of the balloon.

They are then light enough to float around the room

and walk to visit guests

without loosing them into the air!

These will provide untold entertainment tonight during the dancing!

But also during the reception too as they will "walk" around the room on the breeze.

PLEASE NOTE:  

Just a hint when planning a wedding at a venue that has chair covers.

Ask them to show you the covers before you confirm you will use them or not!!

There are some Venues that claim to have chair covers, but they actually aren't covers at all.

They may be just slips or pieces of square fabric that covers the top of the chair only 

and fall off as soon as someone sits in them making the Reception look very untidy!!

The venue will work the cost of the covers into your pricing and quiet often you can get the real thing for much less and have a spectacular looking event all night!

Ask for a breakdown in pricing so you know how much you are actually paying for the little extras.

I would hate for a Bride to walk into their reception thinking they are going to have one thing, 

but in reality getting something completely different.

This is a very common occurance with venues

and if you have never planned a function before with a venue, 

you don't really know what you are going to get.  

They may show you photos of function that have been held in their venue and say

 "This is what we can do" 

when in actual fact that function is featuring decor that the Venue cant supply.

This is just some of the free advice you get when you consult with us regarding your event.

 I can show you photos of the Venues event decor and you can make an informed decision for yourself knowing all the facts.

Official Opening - Gunnedah Rural Health Centre

Its always exciting when I get asked to do jobs like this....

Its the official opening today for the new

Gunnedah Rural Health Centre

Lots of official people

including local dignitaries

and the Minister for Health

will be looking at my balloons.......

This is what we did.

There are two deluxe columns

These come with all different types of "toppers"

but this time I have just used the 3' Round Latex balloon

It looked awesome in the walkway...

Cant wait to see what goes in the paper..

Dorothea McKeller Poetry Competition

The Dorothea McKeller Society 

conducts an annual

Poetry Awards that attracts competitors from all over Australia.

Each year children from everywhere submerge on Gunnedah.

for the announcement of the winners.

Each year, it is my pleasure to decorate this event.

This is how it looked this year...

Arch over the welcome desk.

Guests walked through the door to the Civic and under the arch to check in...

Balloon Clusters were throughout the reception area

and then into the staging area..

Unfortunately it was too dark and wide to get a decent photo,

but here is the one section that was lit up.

As all Balloons from Enchanted Events & Balloons are treated for the maximum life

theater goers will enjoy a decorated civic for the coming weeks..

Quaint Country Wedding

Quirang Country Gardens

would have to be my all time favorite location

for a wedding,

When my daughter gets married, its going to be here...

(If I get any say at all, which I have no doubt I will have NO say!!!)

The Bride & Groom chose to have their

ceremony in the garden overlooking to surrounds...

Just gorgeous...

With a quaint reception in the refurbished

Country Homestead..

The Couple chose to have:
