Gunnedah South School Winter Ball

In a small town like Gunnedah
I am totally AMAISED at our Community Spirit!
Our Gunnedah South School is having a fund raiser tonight
and decided to host a
Winter Ball.

It took 2 weeks for the tickets to be sold, there were another 10 tables quickly added
and then they sold!
Over 300 people are attending tonight's ball to raise funds for the school.
Its very nice to see.
I'm not much of a socialite myself, I much prefer to have my fun helping to decorate an event and then go home rather than party on all night, and I really enjoy having this roll.
I feel very privileged to be involved in some small way at events such as this one.

So tonight's event was organised by a very dedicated and frantic couple of volunteers from the School.
We worked together to help bring their theme to life.

We have the ceiling fairy lights.
(These have been up now since Mid March and this will be their last event in the hall this year!)
A gorgeous way to create an intimate atmosphere

Simple Ceiling lights can be done at just about any venue.
If you would like something like this for your next event, just pop instore and we can work out what you will need.

To frame the stage I erected a chain of pearl arch in the colours that represent the event.

We used the black rectangle table clothes
Light Blue Satin Table Runners
Silver Organza Table Runners
Round Mirrors.
Large Glass Vases
Glass Marbles
Black Twisted Willow
LED Battery Operated Lights up the Willow Branches
(They aren't turned on though.... I was a little early with my photos!)

At the entrance to the ball
we made just a simple air arch in the theme colours...

We had to sqeeze it in, but it looked lovely!

If anything here looks like something you might like for your event,
please don't hesitate to come on by and we can talk turkey!!

Gunnedah Eisteddfod Celebrates 60 Years..

I was thrilled to be asked to make suggestions about decorations
for the Civic Reception
with the opening of the 2012 Eisteddfod Season....

We decided on an arch
right across the stage....
With a Huge 60 as a centerpiece...

Here is the finished product.

It looked really awesome on the Stage at the Civic..
It has now been moved to the Town Hall Stage
and will be on display right through Eisteddfod Month.

Mystic Garden Catholic Debutante Ball - 2012

Its always such a pleasure when the Deb comes around again...
As one of the three Event Organizers this year
My specific  is Themeing!

This year, this was the inspiration...

Yes, its the Wedding Scene from the movie
Breaking Dawn....

What I loved about that scene
is that it is peaceful, innocent
and simple..allowing the staging to look brilliant
but at the same time not taking anything away from our Girls...

The tickets were designed by JM Graphic Design and based on the theme

The cute little page girl baskets are from
Enchanted Events & Balloons
flowers from Gunnedah Florist.

The Bouquets.

The cake was made by Desiree from Cakes by Desiree....
It was divine!

We had vines from Enchanted Events & Balloons
hanging from the ceiling
with organza fabric draped around the door to make a feature...

A special feature at all the Deb Balls that I Theme
are the Custom Gobo's on the floor
announcing our theme for the event..

We had the Shabby Arch draped with orgnaza
and had willow threaded through it...
and also the yellow fairy lights.

Behind the door the girls come through we have a pink light
set up so the girls have that slight halo effect as they are presented
and with the green lighting up the organza,
just really gives it that garden feeling

And the MIST on the floor!
The theme is Mystic Garden after all!

The lighting is done by Dave Boxell and his boys!
Dave is fabulous! I test him every year,
but together, we can put these ideas off..

We had the Lily & Rose pillar and Urns on the stage
along with some silk trees
the wisteria trees at the corners
and then LED cherry blossom trees at the back.

Lights also draped from the ceiling....
Over 500 chair covers and sashes
Table Runners....

We had the tall vases with willow branches
and battery operated LED lights as centerpieces down the sides
And at the very front and back we had fish bowls
with willow and pink candles..

Here is the effect as the guests walked in....

 The official table.....

And at the end of the night
here is the band..

2012 Rotary Debutante Ball - Enchanted Forest Theme 16.03.12

Its always a total pleasure to be involved with the Debutante Balls....
This year, the conveynor bought her concept to me
and together we bought it to fruition....

The theme was Enchanted Forest..
The Rotary has a competition for the best dressed table
and Enchanted Events &Balloons also helped in that are
with alot of the Debs.

Here is a photo of the girls..
All so beautiful!

Enchanted Events and Balloons
supplied the framing for the entrance cannopy
The gorgeous peacock Organza Sashes
Metres and Metres of Ivy
The lanterns...
All the battery operated lights.
The 5 stand candle holders

Tables and Clothes
LED Fairy Lights
The Wood Shavings on the floor..
The chair covers & Sashes

Enchanted Events & Balloons also did the ceiling lighting.

Also, a highlight for this Debutante Ball
was our gorgeous Fairy Molly
was presented as a Debutante..
She is stunning isn't she?

Themeing Events is a specialty for Enchanted Events & Balloons
and I am more than happy to help in anyway I can to make your Theme happen!
Its about bringing the community together to make these kinds of events everything they can
be for our young Country Girls...

Gunnedah Business Awards 2009 - Arabian Nights Theme

I was privalidged to provide decor for the GDDB Business Awards this year....
I was asked to quote on three different themes, and this is the one the board chose...
Arabain Nights......
As the Catholic Deb Ball was also using that staging, i lifted everything over the stage to allow heaps of access for the Debs and their partners....
I created the "tent" effect with lengths of fabric.....
The painted backdrop made all the difference to help create the theme....

The stage was further enhanced by the Arabian Night Balloon Charactors and Onion domes....
With lovely greenery around the charactors, it really added to the overall theme beuatifully and the greenery toook away the harsh lines......
These were featured on either side of the stage...
The tables were just subly decorated with matching organza overlays and little mozaic candle holders... These were set on a round mirror and highlighted with matching glass pebbles, and a little fern...
The room flowed by adding the curtains to the doors and draping from the gallery...
The entrance to the Smithhurst theatre was also enhanced by creating an Arabian Tent..

Kissed By Snowflakes Debutante Ball 2010

WOW!
You had to be there to feel the atmosphere created in this room.
I have had so many wonderful comments
about the transformation of the
Gunnedah Town Hall
for this event....

The theme was
"Kissed by Snowflakes"
So it was important that the guests
attending could feel that kiss
when they walked into the room...

We had hundreds of glittery snow flakes
hanging from the ceiling to create that
kissed effect....

And we also bought the theme
onto the dance floor
with a specialised gobo...

We bought the theme to the tables as well
with these specially made
snowflake centerpieces.

I designed these specifically for the Ball in mind
and any kind of theme can be
transformed into an elegant centerpieces
We added a tea light to the middle
to accent the glitter.

The back of the room was also decorated
with the "Officials" table
having the Satin skirting
with organza draping and fairy lights.

I had this awesome garland
that contains crystals, pearl and lovely glittery
branches that looked wonderful
on the front of the table....

All the tables had a blue satin table runner
as Blue was the theme colour...

The hurricane lamp
was decorated with glittery branches
and sat on a mirror

Looking down on the table you can see the
table runners
and the snowflake centerpieces on the side with the candles

I also added the blue satin chair ties
to the Official Table

The cake table was decorated to match
but because we had to move the table
the lights we used
were battery operated

Balloons are a great way to bring the theme out
for an event....

I used light blue, silver and white pearl finish balloons
and also snowflake diamond clear balloons
in the arch that the Debs were presented through...

Add to the arch the
specialised lighting
provided by Jamie Sanson
of Stage and Sound Technology
and the whole presentation was fabulous

And all the lights
the backdrop
and the contrast with the blue curtains
made an awesome for photos

I also added coloumns with the balloons
that matched
and topped with the new
bubble balloons with snowflake print.

I added a couple of LED trees that i use at
wedding and call them
Money Trees....

We also used Pine trees
which we gathered from the private properties
of one of the Debs
to help create that wintery forest effect.

They were sprayed using the spray on snow...
and then draped with LED fairy lights.

I had about 8 columns around the room and
outside all up.
These ones were at the back of the room
and with the LED column behind them
really make them stand out

I had another column at the entrance to the
room via the side door
with a welcome sign
letting the guest know about the seating arrangements.

I dont think the band would have ever performed
on a stage as awesome as this one!!

ALL decorations for this event were the concept
of Jodi Dolbel
in the capacity of Co-Conveynor
for the Catholic Débutante Ball.

There was no payment for these services provided by Jodi Dolbel
All items provided were done so with good will
to help with the success of running this event
and all profits go to benefit the children of
the Gunnedah Combined Catholic Schools.

There were many parents of Débutantes
that gave of their time and their
expertise in making this night a huge success
for our girls.
